CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION – CENTRAL OPERATIONAL COMMAND
It is consisted of the Board of Governors, which defines the operational Chief of E.S.E.P.A. and the Central Operational Staff.
The Districts', the Perfectures’ and the Units’ Commands are parts of the Central Operational Staff.
UNIT COMMANDS
Each unit is an operational local department and is commanded by the Local Commander and his collaborators, who get elected by local Volunteers, as long as they have mastered all the necessary training. The Operational Local Departments participate in the COORDINATING LOCAL COMMITTEES, while in emergency situations they are obliged to follow out the Municipality’s instructions, where they reside, and provided professional firefighters arrive in their action area, they report to the supervisor and follow to the letter his instructions.
PERFECTURES’ COMMANDS
They participate in the COORDINATING LOCAL COMMITTEES on the planning of emergency situations and their exclusive responsibilities are on the one hand the coordination of OPERATIONAL LOCAL DEPARTMENTS on a county range, always in collaboration with the prefecture or the suitable service, and on the other hand the gathering of nessecary for the stations equipment, the dispensation and the supervision of this disposal and proper use of material.
DISTRICTS’ COMMANDS
Their only responsibilities are the coordination of PREFECTURES’ COMMANDS in major incidents, always in collaboration with the Service in charge. Also, the gathering of all nessecary equipment, along with its dispensation to the Stations in need and the supervision of this process, including proper use of materials.
CENTRAL OPERATIONAL COMMAND OF E.S.E.P.A.
It is consisted of the Chief, the Deputy Commander, the Trainers and the officers of central administration.
OUR UNIFORM
The uniform of E.S.E.P.A.’s operational volunteers must be worn on incidents, trainings and meetings.
The meeting uniform is consisted of blue shirt, blue trousers, belt and red jockey.
The training or incident participation uniform is made of special firefighting material and goes along with special army boots, firefighting helmet, gloves and other equipment.
OUR EMBLEM
On the left arm there is the E.S.E.P.A. patch, on the right one the greek flag and on the jockey the E.S.E.P.A. badge as well.
Our rank are worn in the shoulder and they are red for all except for those who belong to the districts’ and central administration’s officers and they have traits that indicate the knowledge of our volunteers.
